THE EVENT:
Y-Sportz the Magazine and Leaders of the South would like to welcome you and your Fans to the 2010 GET RANKED Roddie White Labor Day Classic. This event is scheduled for Labor Day Weekend September 4th and 6th . Saturday and Sundays games will be at two different locations. Monday's Championship games will be held at Clark Atlanta University.
Check In:
All teams participating in this years tournament will be required to check in (2) hours before their first game. Please have in a binder your League Roster, Your Tournament Roster, a copy of each childs Birth Certificate along with picture, Liability Wavier, and Image Waiver. At the time of registration a ban will be given to each eligible child participating in the event. Bans are to be worn on the wrist of the participant and must NOT be removed until the end of the tournament. Players without their arm ban at the beginning of each game will be considered ineligible and can be marked off the roster for the remainder of the tournament. It is the responsibility of the Team Organizer / Head Coach to ensure the security of each players ban and to report any concerns or issues regarding a players ban immediately to a Tournament official.
Seeding:
As shown in the initial coachs package teams are guaranteed (2) games. Two of the guaranteed games will be played on Saturday September 4th. The two games played on Saturday will determine your Teams Seeding for Sundays Single Elimination Rounds. Saturdays Top performing Teams in each age group may be awarded a 1st Round bye and will play the winner from the Wildcard Round. Wildcard Round will consist of those Teams ranked 5th 12th 0r 8th -16th. Tournament Ranking will be based on the following:
1.Overall Record
2.Head to- Head
3.Section (Division) record
4.Point Differential (point allowed)
Age & Weights:
1. The age of players on all Tournament teams shall be their age as of July 31st of the current year, unless a waiver is granted for teams playing in a league that requires otherwise.
2. This tournament consist of (7 age groups and though it is highly discouraged, players are allowed to play up in age by one age group.
3. Y-Sportz the Magazine and The Leaders of The South will determine weight requirements for skill positions. Such requirements will be established for a minimum of one year. A skill positions shall be quarterback, running back, wide receiver, kick off return, punt return, and any tight end receiving the ball. A tight end not receiving the ball can be a heavy player. Defensive skill positions are cornerback, safeties, and linebackers. Player defined as HEAVY must start every play from a down position (i.e. 3 point stance).
a.All defensive players recovering a fumble or interception are allowed to advance the ball. This includes heavy players

7 & U Mighty-Mite Unlimited 90 lbs.
8 & U Flyweight Unlimited 100 lbs.
9 & U Lightweight Unlimited 115 lbs.
10 & U Middleweight Unlimited 125 lbs.
12 & U Welterweight Unlimited 145 lbs.
14 & U Heavyweight Unlimited No Restrictions
Game Play:
Timing
1.Each game will consist of (2) 25 minute running clock halves and a 5-10 minute halftime and will be played under the Georgia Football High School Rules unless otherwise stated.
A running clock will go into effect after the games starting kickoff, the clock will stop for time outs, an injury, or an unusual delay. No Coach can approach the Head Game Official (White Cap) without first using a time out.
2. There shall be a 25 second play clock for all divisions except Pee Wee. Pee Wee games shall have second play clock.
Balls
3. Balls shall be brown in color and of good leather quality or rubber with the following specifications:
a. Pee Wee ball size shall be used for Pee Wee (6U) and Mighty Mite (8U) games.
b. Junior ball size shall be used for Lightweight(10U) and Middleweight (12U) games.
c. Intermediate size balls shall be used for Heavyweight (14U) games.
Scoring:
4. Teams that successfully kick a field goal shall score (3pts.), successfully ran or thrown touchdown shall score (6pts) and Extra Points shall be spotted on the 3-yard line and will be score per the following.
a. Teams shall score two (2) points for successfully kicking the ball
b. Teams shall score one (1) point for successfully running or throwing the ball.
Defense Alignment
5. No defensive lineman can line up over the offensive center or in the gap between the center and the guard on any play in which a player is not taking a direct snap from under the center. This includesshotgun snaps, extra points, field goals and punts. There are no restrictions in alignment in the Middleweight and Heavyweight divisions.
Time Outs
6. All teams shall have three (3) 20sec time outs per half. Clock will stop during Timeouts and will resume immediately after the 30sec period has expired. It shall be the responsibility of the Officials to keep an accurate count of the time outs used.
Tournament Slaughter Rule
7. The slaughter rule will go in effect when one team is twenty-Four (24) points ahead.
a. Running Clock, even during time outs and injuries
b .No more kick-offs
c. The losing team shall get the ball at the 50 yard line after each score by the winning team
d.The winning team cannot attempt any forward passes. Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty will be assessed if done.
e. The winning team shall not be allowed to rush the punter when the slaughter rule is in effect.
f. The slaughter rule will stay in effect thru the duration of the game regardless of score
Insurance
8. Each team participating in the 2010 Labor Day Classic shall provide their own form of insurance for playersand participates of any kind associated with their Team. All players participating in a Y-Sportz and/or a The Leader of the South event must submit a completed Tournament Liability Waiver and Image Form attached.
Inclement Weather
9. The Tournament Coordinators shall have responsibility of determining if games are to be cancelled due to inclement weather. However, if the game Head Official, (White Cap), feel that the weather conditions are jeopardizing the safety of the players, coaches, officials and fans, the Head Official shall have the authority to postpone the game.

Bring your entire family out for a great day of football and fun. This years Jamboree will feature a Cheerleading Camp, NFL Punt Pass And Kick, and Football Jamboree. Something for the entire family.
Teams from different leagues and conferences will compete to fine tune their teams before the season begins. This is a very organized but competitive Jamboree. We look forward to seeing you and your program this year.
The Cheer Camp will be taught by YUNGSTARS CHEER & DANCE PRODUCTIONS. This instructional camp will cover beginner, intermediate, and advanced training on Crowd Pleasers, Jumps, Cheer, and Dance.
