Leaders of the South teamed up with Catalyst to welcome and perform in front of 20,000 screaming fans at the Tony Dungy Event in the Gwinnett Arena.
The New Birth Eagles and the Union Grove Wolverines were choosen to meet, have lunch, perform on stage, and learn from the "Future Hall of Famer" Tony Dungy during the Catalyst Event.
What a awesome experience!! Each year we strive to expose our student athletes to a life long experience that will impact their lives. Toney Dungy spoke about his life long experiences and what was his true source of strength.
"However, after winning the Super Bowl, I heard from so many people who were excited about our victory. I wanted to tell each one of them that it wasn't the victory, but the journey, and the lessons learned along that journey that really matter. And the biggest lesson I learned was that God's hand is not only in the victories, but in the disappointments as well. It is my prayer that reading my story will cause people to stop and examine what's really important in life."
Toney Dungy has been praised for a being a great mentor and the First African American Head Football Coach in the NFL to win the SUPER BOWL. This event touched the lives of many and Leaders of the South continues to create life changing experiences for student athletes.
